At St Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church we hold before us the goal of being a vibrant and welcoming community that provides for and participates in a variety of ministries, services and events that support discipleship and promote God's power and presence in our daily lives. We invite all new young adults from the Lincoln park/Lakeview area to come out and become involved in some of the many unique programs that we offer whether it be mass, spiritual retreats, or just sharing your spirituality with people your own age. Mass Schedule Saturday: 5:30pm (English) Sunday: 7:45am (English), 10:30am (English), 12:15pm (Spanish), 5:00pm (English) 1st Sunday of each month 9:15am (German) Holy Days: 8:30am and as announced Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:30am Wednesday: 6:00pm Confessions Saturday: 11:00-11:45am Wednesday 6:30-7:30am *or by appointment Eucharistic Adoration Wednesday: 6:30-7:30pm Social Events The St. Alphonsus community comes together to celebrate in a big way two times each year. The last weekend of September every year is our annual Oktoberfest. The festival celebrates the German heritage of our parish, bringing together all ages of parishioners, neighbors and friends for two days of music, dancing, homemade brats and a little beer. In the winter, Art and Soul happens. This evening affair includes live entertainment, dancing and a silent and live auction. This major fundraiser benefits our school, the Alphonsus Academy and Center for the Arts. Alphonsus Academy & Center for the Arts AACA is a Catholic elementary school serving students from Pre-K through 8th grade.
