Libit completed a fellowship in pediatric nephrology from 1970 through 1973. He was certified by the subspecialty Board of Pediatric Nephrology in 1974. Dr. Libit was associate director of the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center from 1975 to 1977 and has been in private practice as a pediatric nephrologist since 1977. He is available for outpatient and inpatient consultation. Child neurology Dr. Sharon F. Libit completed a fellowship in neurologically handicapped children at the University of Minnesota Hospitals from July 1971 through August 1972. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, subspecialty of Neurology since 1976. Dr. Libit has consulted at the following: San Diego Regional Center for the Developmentally Disabled - February 1974 through June 1975; the Division of Child Neurology at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center - September 1975 through October 1979; Glenkirk Residential Facility for the Mentally Handicapped - June 1980 through June 1984; Division of Services for Crippled Children, Chicago, IL - 1980 through 1992; SEDOL and Lake-McHenry Regional Program, Child Neurology - 1980 through 1991. Dr. Libit is available by appointment from consultation on neurological issues in children including seizure disorders, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Pediatric sports medicine Dr. Janice Krakora-Looby is a member of the American Association of Sports Medicine and completed part one of the team physicians Course in February 1997 and part two in February 1998. Dr. Krakora-Looby coached grammar school basketball from 1992 through 1999 and has served as team physician for a local grammar school since 1992. Dr. Krakora-Looby is available by appointment for consultation on both acute and chronic sports injuries.
